Our congregation was founded by Elisabeth Gruyters (1789 - 1864) on the 29th of april 1837, in Maastricht, the Netherlands. The church gave the Congregation Saint Charles Borromeo as its Patron Saint and recognized it as an apostolic congregation. On March 1, 2006, the Congregation consisted of approximately 700 memers who live and work in America, Belgium, Denmark, Indonesia, the Netherlands, Norway, the Phillipines, Tanzania and Timor Leste. |

A light that is called God-with-us. A child that takes its place and in spite of all the hatred, pain and struggle stand up for justice. A Child that looks at us and hopes that we will recognize something of ourselves in His eyes.
